Scripture of the Week
Hebrews 12:28–29 (KJV)
“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.”
This Scripture reminds believers that the Kingdom of God is eternal and
unshakable. Because we belong to a Kingdom that cannot be destroyed, we are
called to serve God with reverence, humility, obedience, and sincere worship. The
phrase “our God is a consuming fire” reveals God’s holiness, power, and
righteousness. It is a reminder that God is loving and merciful, but also holy and
worthy of honor, respect, and awe.

How To Build Your Prayer Life
Prayer is not about perfection — it is about relationship. Building a strong prayer
life takes consistency, faith, honesty, and time spent with God daily. Prayer is one of
the greatest spiritual weapons God has given believers.
1. Make Time for God Daily
Set aside quiet time each day to pray, even if it is only a few minutes at first.
Consistency strengthens your relationship with God.
“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet…” — Matthew 6:6 (KJV)
2. Pray Honestly
God already knows your heart. Speak to Him sincerely about your struggles, fears,
hopes, mistakes, and desires. Prayer is personal.
“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.” — Psalm 55:22 (KJV)
3. Read the Word of God
Prayer becomes stronger when rooted in Scripture. The Bible teaches us God’s
promises, wisdom, and character.
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17 (KJV)
4. Pray With Faith
Believe that God hears you even when answers do not come immediately. Faith is
essential in prayer.
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” — Matthew 21:22 (KJV)
5. Remove Distractions
Create time away from noise, social media, and stress so you can focus on God clearly.
“Be still, and know that I am God…” — Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
6. Worship and Give Thanks
Prayer is not only asking God for things. Thank Him for His goodness, mercy, protection, and grace.
“In every thing give thanks…” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)
7. Do Not Give Up
Sometimes spiritual growth takes time. Continue praying even during difficult
seasons. God is working even when you cannot see it.
“Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)
A strong prayer life develops through daily fellowship with God. The more time you
spend with Him, the stronger your faith, discernment, peace, and spiritual maturity will become.
